Overview
The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power provides clean, reliable water and power. Our new brand system is all about providing clear information to customers in a dynamic and accessible way, conveying energy and motivation about what we do, where we’re headed, and how everyone can easily conserve water and power resources.

Logo
Our logo represents communication. Even though, some parts of the letters are deleted and connected, we can still read it as LADWP. Rounded and sharp edges symbolizes water and power. The full name depicts water and power filling up by using more weight.

L.A. residents’ lifestyles and their family photos can be shown to emphasize the importance of our customers. Focused, clean, simple images are used to represent honest and transparent information. Also images such as water and electrical plugs convey conservation education to our customers.
