Overview
‘Nothing, Something, Everything’ is an exhibition project about objects of collection. Everyday objects from our everyday lives can become artwork. This exhibition celebrates creativity and highlights the many ways in which objects pervade our human experience. The exhibition includes artworks by 12 artists. Plus, to emphasize the collection of objects theme, each letter of the title is of a different typeface.
Book Cover
To represent objects of collection, I integrated seven different booklets into one. The book consists of one essay booklet and six artist booklets. Each letter in the title features a different typeface to accentuate the collection theme.
Book Spread
Through the book, I aim to convey the story of the collected objects by showcasing the details of the artworks. In the essay section, the images have been harmonized with the content.
Spatial
Interactive Experience
At the entrance, people can explore a detailed part of the artwork before they walk through the exhibition. By using p5.js, a digital screen can increase the audience involvement in the exhibition and get inspired.

This game screen lets the audience explore and identify the elements within the artwork, allowing them to learn more about the objects that artists used.
Interactive Wall
Through an interactive wall, the audience can explore more about the artists’ installations. As visitors view the artwork, detailed information such as the titles and mediums are automatically shown.
Main Challenge
To emphasize the concept which is everyday object of collections, I tried some experimental design. One of the challenges was combining and adjusting leading and kerning of a variety of typefaces.
Next Step
'Nothing Something Everything' can be developed as a website. Since it has a lot of fun visual systems, it could make the audience get more involved in the exhibition.
